    Wel it has to be a nest of some sort, but not sure what.

    I think this may be the nest building of the Wedge Tail Eagle.. maybe the ground litter is excess building material ?

    I reckon it’s a Wedgies nest too. Messy bird. Isn’t it huge, but so low to the ground. Couldn’t it find a higher tree?

    Perhaps the litter on the ground is broken branches from such a big bird landing in a fragile tree?
